Seven Kingdoms: Seowyn's Crossing
Konstantin Karzai is a semi-lengendary figure. While it’s very likely that Konstantin Karzai was a real person, it seems likely that a nnumber of trickster legends have been attached to his famous name.
The real Konstantin Karzai was a young nobleman of Falwyth who was transformed into a Tiefling along with many of his generation, thanks to the events of the early days of the Black Fire War. According to legend, he used his glib tongue to convince his father to give him a fleet of ships, which he ultimately gave to his warrior-friend Tuthan the Mariner. Together, they used this fleet to transport people away from Falwyth to their new homes in Summerlund.
Many other legends are ascribed to Karzai, which have lent him a air of unreality and myth. One of the most popular legends involves a famous riddling match between Karzai and Asmodeus. The stakes of the contest vary with the telling – Karzai’s soul, a golden harp, a castle of gems – but most versions agree that Karzai won, or that he tricked Asmodeus into accepting something less than Asmodeus originally came for.
