Harvest Moon

On the 15th day of Aust, both moons of Tol, Kassyle the Golden and Davron the Blue, become full. This lends a warm light to the autumn night, and the folk of the Seven Kingdoms celebrate the night that has become known as Harvest Moon. This night is usually still warm, and it is taken as a day of rest after the long harvest season.

Harvest Moon is often used to coincide or climax the times of Autumn-time Faires. Music and dancing is always an important part of it, as are games of skill and luck. A feast is always a huge component, as foods that can’t be stored or kept for winter are cooked and served. Traditional dishes include plenty of meat, as animals that won’t be kept over the winter are slaughtered and preserved. Others include dishes with apples, pumpkins, turnips, and other fall produce. These meals are often prepared and coordinated by local Halfling families.
