Seven Kingdoms: Seowyn's Crossing
Glurup was a Bullywug of some means and substance. He had dabbled in the arcane arts and made himself a mud lord over a small tribe, ultimately leading them north to lands where Bullywugs were less well-known. He was tempted by the promises of a Human Psion named Tarkantus to settle in the ruins of Hallowir’s Watch. Glurup loved the idea of inhabiting a castle, but, once there, he soon found his tribe being manipulated by Tarkantus into doing the man’s dirty work.
Since Glurup worshipped foul entities of the Far Realm, he reluctantly went along with Tarkantus’ plans to open a gate to the Realm in the keep’s ancient treasury. At Tarkantus’ urging, he sent his tribe out to capture a human, and they brought back one Heredius Broadways. Tarkantus then locked himself in the treasury after warning Glurup that more humans might come looking for this one.
Worried, Glurup had his tribe take up guarded positions, but they proved no match for the people who did come – the Fire Wasps. Glurup’s people were slain, as were his faithful giant frog pets, and Glurup found himself a sullen prisoner of these invaders. He gave up Tarkantus’ secrets as best he can in exchange for his ultimate freedom. Where Glurup will go without his tribe is unknown.
