Seven Kingdoms: Seowyn's Crossing
Some of the people of Tol feel a call to a divine purpose. While some take this call to be personal, and some even receive it in arrogance, some accept it humbly and seek other individuals with the same calling. Those who hear the voice of the Gods calling them to service sometimes become the warrior-priests known simply as Clerics.
While Clerics can be warriors for their Gods, Avengers can be greater holy slayers. And while Clerics can show the majesty of their deities, Invokers can more truly show the power and authority of the Gods. What Clerics seem unparalleled at revealing is the mercy and protection that the Gods offer. Most Clerics possess powers of healing that no other adventurers can match, and they’re often capable of bolstering and aiding their allies in many ways.
All cultures possess clerical traditions, although the elves of Faerinwold have fewer Clerics and more Shamans. Clerics are also less common amongst the Aeotaens of Kaoru and any culture that revers the Primal Spirits rather than a God.
